Set correct paper size

Use PostScript Type 1 fonts if possible

Avoid TrueType fonts

Do not use electronic font modification (bold, italic, shadowed, contoured, etc.)

Scan images at the proper resolution (take scaling into account)

Crop images in an image editor

Do not use hairlines

Draw frames with the frame tool, not built with four lines

Tint areas: min. 5%, max 95%

Delete unnecessary elements

Delete blank pages

If necessary, define page bleeds
